About Wembley Stadium Foundation Communities Fund

Wembley Stadium Foundation Communities Fund is supporting thousands of young people across Birmingham, Liverpool, London, Manchester and Newcastle to get active and express themselves over the next two years.

In the build-up to UEFA EURO 2028 UK & Ireland, the Fund is helping to close the gap in access to sport, movement and performing arts, so that more young people feel a sense of ownership and pride in their city, deepening community belonging and building a legacy for sport and the performing arts.

This funding is supporting young people and organisations across England’s UEFA EURO 2028 Host Cities.

Community Foundation North East is delivering this work for Newcastle and will distribute £110k over two years with grants of up to £5k a year available.

Who can apply

The fund will support organisations with a proven track record of delivering youth activities that are rooted in movement, sport or performing arts in line with the fund aims to help young people across the country get active, creative and connect to other young people and their wider communities.

This fund is for work taking place in Newcastle only.
