Community Foundation North East recently partnered with Peridot Partners to deliver a focused webinar on Succession Planning for Chairs and Chief Executives of third sector organisations. The session was part of the Community Foundation’s ongoing Sector Support programme and was designed to equip leaders with the tools to manage leadership transitions effectively.
The webinar was hosted by the Foundation’s Sector Support Manager, Colette Harrison, and led by guest speakers Jennifer Horan (Managing Consultant) and David Hingley (Head of Arts) from Peridot. Attendees explored how to embed succession planning into their organisational culture and navigate complex leadership conversations with confidence.
Colette Harrison, Sector Support Manager, remarked:
“It was fantastic once again to work with Peridot Partners to offer another thought-provoking and practical webinar. Succession-planning is an ongoing process for every organisation and should be a positive experience for all involved. This event provided valuable fresh-thinking for individuals and organisations. We were delighted to welcome attendees throughout the UK to participate in this lively and engaging conversation. A great way to celebrate Small Charity Week.”

Peridot Partners, specialists in board and leadership recruitment, shared practical insights to help organisations prepare for CEO and Chair transitions with clarity and foresight. Both Peridot and Community Foundation North East are committed to strengthening communities through sustainable, future-focused leadership.
Jennifer Horan, Managing Consultant at Peridot Partners, commented:
“It was a pleasure to work with Colette and support organisations in the third sector that are proactively planning for leadership change.”
