Sarah Glendinning, trustee

Sarah joined Northumbria University as Director of Business Partnerships in early 2024. Building on experience over twenty years supporting the growth and development of businesses in the North East, including through her most recent role as CBI Regional Director, Sarah’s aim is to identify, initiate and catalyse opportunities to collaborate with organisations across the UK, connecting and facilitating engagement for mutual benefit.

She is passionate about raising aspirations and is engaged with a number of education and diversity initiatives. She was Vice Chair of the North East LEP Skills Advisory Panel and Chair of North East Ambition prior to the NELEP joining the North of Tyne Combined Authority in May 2024. She also facilitates a women in leadership network in the North East bringing together female leaders from the public, private and voluntary sectors.

Sarah is a management graduate from Aston University, and spent time working in commercial roles in the graphic arts and IT sectors before returning to the North East in 2003
