Pete Barrett

Pete manages a portfolio of funding programmes at the Community Foundation, working with our partners regionally and nationally to deliver grant-making in line with their wishes. In particular, he oversees our community benefit funds associated with renewable energy developments, working closely with the members of community-led funding panels. He promotes grant opportunities, assesses applications and manages awards from the funds he oversees.

Pete was previously a grants officer at Northern Rock Foundation and has worked in frontline services with the Children’s Society, Mobex North East and VSO. He holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Grant-making Management from Cass Business School.
