Mike Whitfield
Mike is responsible for ensuring that the Community Foundation’s processes, systems and facilities operate effectively and maximise productivity. He develops and leads projects on operational improvements and manages our support functions, staff and premises.
An experienced operations and ICT professional with a Business Studies degree and over 20 years’ experience in the service sector, Mike is proficient at managing a diverse range of projects to maximise organisational benefit. Prior to joining the Foundation, he worked for a software development company, a leading firm of North-East-based chartered surveyors, a major law firm and an ICT consultancy.
Outside work, Mike has held a number voluntary positions previously, is a keen cyclist and occasional skier.
