
Hannah Mackay-Christie
Hannah is responsible for the Foundation’s knowledge and research activity including Vital Signs. She supports the Foundation to understand the policy environment for our work, gather data from our grant-making activity and use our insight to influence key stakeholders and decision-makers.
Hannah joined the Community Foundation in April 2025. Prior to joining the Community Foundation, Hannah has worked for over 15 years in the Voluntary and Community Sector in the North East in a number of different roles including Income Generation, Business Development, and Policy and Campaigning. She has experience and expertise across a range of themes including Homelessness, Violence against Women and Girls and Child Poverty.
Hannah is actively involved in community development in her local community and chairs the board of a community-run Leisure Centre in the West End of Newcastle which she helped to establish in 2019.
