Fiona Standfield, trustee
Fiona began her career as a civil servant in Whitehall, subsequently teaching modern languages and working in the House of Commons before joining Royal Mail plc where she worked for 13 years, culminating as Director of a UK-wide IT Programme. Since returning to the North East, Fiona has developed a portfolio career, including her own consultancy providing language services, project management and business development support. She has held interim leadership roles with Newcastle Science City and Safe Families for Children. Fiona is currently Chief Operating Officer at the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle. A former chair of an NHS Mental Health and Learning Disability Trust, Fiona is also employed by the Ministry of Justice as a Specialist Member of Mental Health Tribunals and an Appraiser. Fiona is a Non-Executive Director of South Tyneside Integrated Care Limited and a Trustee of Vindolanda.
