Ali Walker

Ali manages the Community Foundation’s relationships with local and national media, co-ordinates our events and looks after internal and external communications including the website and newsletters.

He joined the Foundation in 2018 as the Project Officer for the GeNErosity Festival of Philanthropy and Giving in the North-East, in which role he managed logistics and planning in conjunction with partners, sponsors and supporters. He then worked within our philanthropy section to support donor engagement and grant-making from funds set up at the Community Foundation by individuals, families and businesses.

Ali previously worked for three years as a project officer at the international sports charity Youth Sport Trust, based at Loughborough University. Prior to that he was communications manager at Michael Heppell Ltd.
