Adam Lopardo

Chief Funding and Partnerships Officer

Adam is responsible for the Foundation’s funding priorities and ensuring the effectiveness of its support for charities and community organisations. He manages the funding and partnerships section and leads on policy and research work and related public affairs activities. Adam also works with national and regional funding partners to ensure more resources reach groups in the North East of England. He also acts as a deputy to the CEO.

Adam’s professional background is in marketing, starting in a local theatre in Solihull before moving to Ticketmaster in London. He set up Ticketmaster’s regional marketing function in Manchester before going on to run Ticketmaster Scotland. He joined the Community Foundation in 2004 as Sponsors Club Director working on business partnerships supporting culture and creative talent. Subsequently he led a partnership programme with the Garfield Weston and Esmee Fairbairn Foundations before taking on the lead external relations role in 2018.

Adam is a trustee of 360 Giving and Sunderland Empire Theatre Trust and has held trustee roles with New Writing North, AV Festival and Tech for Life. He has been an advisor to White Box Projects and Northumberlandia.
