Join the National Conversation on Community Cohesion

Community Foundation North East is helping to promote the National Conversation – the biggest listening exercise of its kind in the UK, and the public engagement heart of the Independent Commission on Community Cohesion. The National Conversation launched with coverage across broadcast, print and social media including: BBC Online, BBC Breakfast, BBC Radio 5, The Sun, Mirror Online and Guardian Online.

Just a couple of weeks ago, Sir Ian McKellen narrated a short film – a Love Letter to England, written by James Graham and released ahead of England’s World Cup knockout game, with one simple message: the things that connect us are worth fighting for.

The goal is for this survey to be a once-in-a-generation effort to hear, in people’s own words, what’s working in our communities, what isn’t, and how we want to live well together. Please fill it in, and share with your networks using this unique link for local charities, community groups, supporters and partners of community foundations across the UK: https://www.national-conversation.ox.ac.uk/en/cf
