Community Foundation North East is looking for new members from the voluntary sector. Our members comprise of individuals, businesses, public bodies and voluntary organisations, and part of our success is down to our unique membership structure, which keeps us connected to our communities.
Our board of trustees, which governs our work, is mainly elected from and by our members – and we are looking for a new voluntary sector trustee to join the Board from this autumn.
Voluntary organisation membership is free and is open to not-for-profit organisations that have charitable purposes, or which exist for community benefit, and that work wholly or partly in Tyne and Wear and Northumberland.
This includes registered charities, voluntary and community groups; mutuals, co-operatives, and community benefit societies; universities; further education, sixth form and technical colleges; independent, academy, free and studio schools; churches; community interest companies.
By becoming a member of Community Foundation North East, you are helping us be accountable to the people and places we serve. As a member, you will receive our Yearbook, news updates and invitations to our events. You may also nominate people to join our Board and take part in any voting. Our members are a very important part of the Community Foundation, and we very much hope you will want to be involved.
To apply for voluntary membership please email dp@communityfoundation.org.uk or use the contact form below to request an application form. For more information about eligibility and how to apply, click here.
