Location(s): County Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle, Northumberland, North Tyneside, South Tyneside, Sunderland
Apply onlineThe Wellesley Trust Fund will consider applications offering positive activities for young people (5 – 25yrs), priority will be given to those which support access to training opportunities (formal and informal), help to develop skills and promote personal and social development, as well as those offering open access youth provision.
Due to the high volume of applications experienced in previous years The Wellesley Trust Fund will only consider applications from organisations with an annual income of up to £500,000. If the income of your organisation is above this threshold an application will not be considered.
The Fund will consider applications for core costs, as well as revenue and project costs. Please note, organisations do not need to deliver a ‘new’ project to be considered.
Grant awards are usually for up to one-year, however, in some instances multi-year awards can be considered if funding allows. If your organisation intends to apply for multi-year funding you must speak to Pete Barrett before doing so.
Please ensure the work you are proposing is within the Fund’s area of benefit.
Applications will be considered in March 2026, with applicants being informed of the outcome by the end of March 2026.
If you have any questions regarding the Fund, eligibility, or about a proposal, please contact Pete Barrett who will be happy to speak with you.
