About Caru Fund

The Caru Fund at the Community Foundation supports organisations that:

1)  Help tackle poverty – meeting basic needs for food, shelter and services and those working to prevent people from falling into poverty; or

2)  Improving health and community safety – community interventions helping people and places at greatest risk for example: healthy living activities, advice and advocacy, counselling, crisis intervention or work on reoffending or anti-social behaviour.

 

 

Who can apply?

Organisations are invited to apply for a grant of between £1,000 and £2,000.

To be eligible your organisation must have an income of less than £100,000 per year.

An application could be for a specific project , to purchase equipment or towards the running costs of your organisation.

Examples of disadvantaged communities include those affected by poverty, unemployment, homelessness, asylum seeker / refugee status, disability and people with learning difficulties.
