About Newcastle Culture Investment Fund

This rolling grant programme seeks to embed and embellish creativity for all residents in Newcastle upon Tyne.

The fund is now closed for activity that will take place in 24/25. Organisations are welcome to make applications for projects that will start, and take place in the new financial year 25/26.

All funded projects will seek to grow the contribution of cultural activity to social, educational and economic wellbeing in the city by supporting the Cultural Strategy.

Decisions are made bi-monthly by an independent panel. Exact deadlines will be confirmed but will be in Feb, April, June, August, October and December.

Please ensure that you do all of the following before you submit your application. Failure to do so may lead to your application being rejected
  • Read the full NCIF Guideline for rolling programme
  • Contact Jo Cundall to discuss your application
  • Refer to that information and the cultural strategy in your supporting statement which should be no longer than one page

Who can apply?

Independent, not-for profit organisations delivering activity in Newcastle upon Tyne. Unlike previous rounds, eligibility is not limited only to cultural organisations. Other community organisations which can demonstrate a creative ethos and have strong cultural partnerships in place are also encouraged to apply.

Please note that organisations who have been awarded NCIF core funding for 2022-25 are not eligible to apply.

This fund does not replace the Newcastle Fund which will continue to give grants, including to the arts, for work that fulfils the aims of the Council and the Newcastle Fund.
