Developers

Renewable energy and land or property development firms often make charitable investments in the communities where they work. The Community Foundation has a strong track record of working with developers to ensure these community benefit funds are invested effectively and with the active involvement of local residents.

What are the benefits to your firm of delivering a community benefit fund through us?

Normally, the contribution to our costs for running a fund is met by developers as an additional resource above the payments into the Fund.

Funding partners

We work in partnership with national and regional funders to target additional support to benefit the North East of England. This includes funds for The Henry Smith Charity, programmes for Comic Relief and grant-making support for the 1989 Willan Charitable Trust. We also help funders including Garfield Weston and Esmée Fairbairn Foundations to increase their activities and reach in the area. And we have collaborations and projects including Culture Partnerships, the Local Environmental Action Fund (LEAF) and Community Ventures.

At the Community Foundation there is a giving option for everyone depending on your interests, motivations and level of donation.
