Vital Signs North East 2024 takes centre stage at Connect, Collaborate and Make a Difference event

The Community Foundation and Newcastle Building Society were delighted to welcome over a hundred guests to  ‘Connect, Collaborate and Make a Difference’ on 21 March.

‘Connect, Collaborate and Make a Difference’ brought business leaders and decision-makers together to discuss how we can change the world on our doorstep. With a selection of inspiring speakers, networking and break-out sessions, the emphasis was on pooling knowledge, sharing experiences and establishing collaborative relationships.

The event is part of Newcastle Building Society’s support for Vital Signs North East 2024. Vital Signs ‘takes the pulse of the region’ to identify challenge and opportunities, and how philanthropy can best address them. It is the most comprehensive guide to the critical issues affecting the health and prosperity of our region. Vital Signs draws on statistics, research and knowledge across ten themed reports

Community Foundation Chief Executive Rob Williamson, gave an overview of the first 5 reports prepared as part of Vital Signs North East 2024 covering Economy, Education, Health, Environment and Culture. Rob’s slides from the day with the summaries of the reports can be found on the link below.  The full economy report is available on our Vital Signs page with the Education, Health, Environment and Culture reports coming out during April.

The remaining reports covering Homes, Community, Justice, Living standards and Access will be released by the end of June 2024.
