At our AGM in November 2018, there will be a vacancy for a voluntary sector member to join the Community Foundation’s Board of trustees as Sharon Spurling is standing down. The Board is particularly keen to receive a nomination from someone who is widely engaged in the charity and policy world beyond their own organisation and who has some understanding of giving and philanthropy. We are keen to ensure the Board maintains a good gender balance and continues to draw on the expertise of people from diverse backgrounds and experience. We would particularly encourage nominations from younger candidates (under 35) and people from black, Asian and other ethnic minority backgrounds.
The formal call for nominations will go to voluntary sector members in advance of the AGM, but if you are interested and would like to know more about what is involved in being a Community Foundation trustee, please contact Rob Williamson for an informal chat.
