Director of Community Knowledge & Funding
Mark is responsible for the effective development and delivery of the Foundation’s funding, and for ensuring data on local issues and trends is gathered, used and shared. He leads our work on Vital Signs and oversees the delivery of programmes run with and for partner organisations to benefit the area. He joined the team in 2008.
In 1982 Mark became involved in the voluntary and community sector as a volunteer for his local youth and community centre. His subsequent career as a paid worker included developing, managing and delivering welfare rights provision, innovative services for people with learning disabilities and a range of community development initiatives.
Mark has a PGCE in post compulsory education and training, and has taught community development at the Universities of Wales and Durham.
