Hamish supports the Foundation’s grant making by assessing, monitoring and reporting grant requests from charities and community organisations in line with the Foundation’s policies, priorities and the requirements of our funds.
Hamish originally moved to Newcastle to complete a BA in Politics with Philosophy at Newcastle University. He now sees the North East as his second home. During that time he undertook a 6 month paid internship researching the relationship between the EU, Brexit and the British press. Prior to joining the foundation he worked as a Case Manager for Universal Credit assessing and aiding a caseload of over 1,000 claimants in their applications.
