Colin Hewitt, trustee

Colin became senior partner at Ward Hadaway in 2022. He has been a partner at the firm for 40 years and was previously head of its commercial team. Colin has worked across the public, charity and private sectors acting for, among others, Northern Rock Foundation, the North East Social Investment Fund and the Foundation of Light. His current appointments include being a board member of the North East Local Enterprise Partnership, a trustee of Voluntary Organisations Network North East (VONNE) and a member of the Northumbria University Legal Faculty Curriculum Advisory Group. He recently helped to establish, and is a Director of, The Open North Foundation, set up to help business recover from COVID.
