On Friday 2 March 2018, the Community Foundation is hosting a celebration of Women in Philanthropy at the Crowne Plaza – Newcastle Stephenson Quarter.
Established as the North East’s premier women-only networking lunch on International Women’s Day, guests can enjoy a two course lunch with coffee and hear inspiring stories from renowned key speakers.
This year, Fran Perrin, founding trustee of the Indigo Trust, who will share insights of her experiences as a philanthropist and how she is using her wealth to do good across the globe. Regional charity, Changing Lives, will also be in attendance to discuss their work in supporting the victims of Operation Sanctuary as well as their on-going preventative working in tackling sexual exploitation of vulnerable young women.
The event is in aid of the Women’s Fund at the Community Foundation and will make a special grant to Changing Lives to support a special project which will be announced in the near future.
