The Local Environmental Action Fund (LEAF) was established in 2006 as a ground-breaking collaboration between the Community Foundation, Shears Foundation, Greggs Foundation and individual and corporate donors.
The collaboration provided huge learning in environmental grant-making and made some fantastic achievements in the community. The legacy of LEAF exists through an environmental endowment fund at the Community Foundation, which will support environmental grant-making in perpetuity.
The new Local Environmental Action Fund will award grants of up to £2,000 for work that has a positive impact on the environment and quality of life in communities. For more information about funding opportunities at the Community Foundation visit the apply page.
