The Community Foundation is backing International Charity Fraud Awareness Week, a campaign which brings together everyone involved in the charity and not-for-profit sectors to raise awareness and share good practice in tackling fraud and financial crime. The campaign runs from 21 – 25 October 2019.

International Charity Fraud Awareness Week seeks to encourage and empower charities to talk about fraud and share best practice both online and offline.

A key feature of this year’s campaign is a new free awareness hub which brings together charity professionals and counter fraud experts from across the globe to discuss and share ideas through a series of live interactive Q&A webinars.

Charities and community organisations are susceptible to fraud and can sometimes be viewed as an easy target for criminals. With fraud and cybercrime on the rise, it is increasingly important for charities of all shapes, sizes and types to protect their income and assets by building strong defences.
