About the Jackie Haq

The Jackie Haq Fund at the Community Foundation focuses on supporting small grassroots community organisations and groups helping to address domestic violence especially against women and children, fuel and food poverty, racism and disadvantage. Organisations and groups are to be based in the West End, east end (Byker, Walker and Walkergate) and North Tyneside. Organisations are invited to apply for a grant of between £750 and £1,000 for this type of work. Applications for project, capital, running, and core costs are welcome.

The Fund will not support any request for funding for items that are deemed to be the responsibility of statutory services in any circumstances, in line with the grant-making policies of the Community Foundation. Social enterprises, community interest companies, and other non-charities should also take careful note of our application guidance notes.
