Apply onlineNewcastle Culture Investment Fund (NCIF) supports the cultural sector of the city with three years of core funding.
It will enable the development of a rich, diverse and accessible independent cultural sector in Newcastle that reflects the creative needs and aspirations of all residents and visitors and gives them the opportunity to participate in a range of creative activities.
NCIF core round will distribute £500k per year to organisations supporting the ambitions laid out in the city’s Cultural Strategy.
The Fund will support high quality and ambitious cultural organisations across a wide portfolio of art forms.
There will be a particular focus on those that serve communities that face barriers to inclusion.
Grants from the Fund will help increase participation in creative activity and grow the contribution of cultural activity to social, educational and economic well-being in the city.
Grants are intended to support core revenue costs and/or project activity from April 2025 to March 2028.

Applicants must read these attached fund guidelines which contains vital information about additional requirements for making an application. These slides, as presented at a fund overview session on 10 September may also provide useful context.
The fund is only open to applications from cultural organisations based and delivering activity in the Newcastle City Council area. This criteria is absolute.
Organisations registered and/or based outside of the city are not eligible to apply.
