About The Northumberland Village Homes Trust Fund

The Northumberland Village Homes Trust Fund supports organisations working to relieve poverty, distress, and sickness amongst children and young people under the age of 21, living in Tyne & Wear, Northumberland, County Durham and Tees Valley.

Who does the fund support

Organisations of any size are invited to apply for a grant of between £1000 and £5,000.

As well as working to relieve poverty, distress, and sickness amongst children and young people under the age of 21, applications for project, capital, running and core costs are welcome.

Examples of successful applications include:

  • Providing drop-in sessions for children and young people living in South East Northumberland
  • Development classes for premature and sick new-born babies from across the North of England
  • Healthy eating programme for children and young people with disabilities in South Tyneside

How to apply

Although this is a rolling programme, applications will be considered by the Fund Advisors on a quarterly basis from January, so please plan well in advance if you are applying for activities that are scheduled to occur at a particular point in time (e.g. half-term holiday trips).
