Fund looking for bids for feasibility study

A grant of £5,000 is available to organisations or individuals to run a feasibility study to inform the Community Foundation’s Dockray West End Young People’s and Wellesley Trust Fund’s grant making in the West End of Newcastle. Both funds are looking to increase the number and variety of applications to the funds for youth provision in the area.  

Pete Barrett, Senior Programme Advisor at the Community Foundation explained how the study would help the Fund best support its beneficiaries: 

“The Funds have a long history of providing youth provision in this area of the West End of Newcastle. To understand how the funds can continue to support young people long into the future, a feasibility study will help the Advisory Panels identify key issues effecting the area and outline solutions. We hope that this will lead to an increase in the number and variety of applications that will benefit young people in the area.” 

The feasibility study will be overseen by NE Youth. Jon Niblo, Chief Executive at NE Youth added: 

“This is an exciting opportunity for an organisation/individual to help make a real difference in an area of the City that has lost so much in terms of provision for young people”.  

The study outlines a number of objectives and reporting requirements which are available through the link below. Please read before submitting an expression of interest. It is expected the feasibility study will last 3 months. 

Expressions of interest should be submitted by Friday 29th October 2021. Interviews will be held in the week commencing 8th November 2021.
