8th Apr 2020
We have teamed up with Muckle LLP to deliver a lunchtime discussion on furloughing in the charity sector, to help make sense of the 'Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme'.
Furloughing workers in the charitable sector will explain the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme, its application within the charitable sector, and to answer your specific questions.
"We [Muckle LLP] understand that many organisations within the charitable sector are feeling the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. This has resulted in reductions in workload for many organisations, and some have temporarily closed following government guidance. This has lead to concerns about how to manage staffing, both immediately and in the future.”
Amy Sergison, Employment Lawyer at Muckle LLP will join Colette Harrison, Development Officer, Sector Support at Community Foundation Tyne & Wear and Northumberland at midday on Wednesday 8 April 2020 for a lunchtime discussion on furloughing in the charity sector. Amy and the employment team at Muckle have been supporting organisations to navigate through the complex employment law issues arising from the current circumstances, and are advising extensively on the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme and management of workers.
Date: Wednesday 8 April 2020 from 12 noon to 1.00pm
The session will be held online
