The Community Foundation’s Crowdfund Newcastle Culture scheme match funds public support for great arts projects which improve the health and well-being of Newcastle residents.

So far, the scheme has supported a wide range of projects, from Chinese New Year Celebrations to the Newcastle Noir Crime Writing Festival and SEVEN Stories, The National Centre for Children’s Books. Other beneficiaries include Lullaby Hour, which provides regular live music sessions for very ill babies and children at the Children’s Heart Unit, Freeman Hospital, and a free weekly Cuckoo Young Songwriters Group.
