Community Ventures
Community Ventures matches volunteers from local businesses with voluntary organisations who need assistance and guidance to make their projects more effective. We help them to use their business skills for projects that make lasting changes to overcome long-running problems or achieve new goals.
Established in 2003 and based on an established American system, Community Ventures has worked with 13 organisations throughout Tyne & Wear and Northumberland.
Volunteers invest a combination of time and money (typically £5,000) with average tenure of one year, though many of our volunteers choose to remain involved longer.
