Further details: Orriginally a charitable trust, the fund was transferred to the Community Foundation in 2005. The fund can provide one off grants of up to £100 for household items and clothing, to benefit young people in need under the age of 18 in Newcastle and Gateshead. Applications for other essentials can also be considered.
Applications are made via the Social Services Departments in Newcastle and Gateshead on the standard Social Services hardship application form.
