Welcome to Community Foundation
The Community Foundation awards grants to voluntary organisations and community groups in Tyne & Wear and Northumberland. In the last year we helped 1700 groups with grants totalling £7 million.
Our funds come from families and companies who share our vision of building stronger communities in the North East. By March 2008, they had contributed over £40 million to build a long term endowment fund.
Latest News
We will award £2 million to small community projects over the next three years from the government Grassroots Grants scheme. Grassroots also gives incentives to donors to set up Grassroots at the Community Foundation.
