Give2 is a new scheme that allows the Community Foundation to match donations to funds for Newcastle, North Tyneside, South Tyneside, Gateshead, Sunderland and Northumberland which will benefit community organisations in those areas. £2.00 from a donor can be matched with £1.00 from the Government.
Donations to the Funds will benefit residents of your local area for years to come by supporting community and voluntary groups with grants that can help them strengthen their local communities through social action.
You can make a donation of any amount to support one or more of the Give2 funds that are set up for Newcastle, Gateshead, North Tyneside, South Tyneside, Sunderland and Northumberland.
You can donate online now to any of the area funds using our online donation facility, please click on the relevant pig. We will then match your donation through the Give2 programme. Your donation may also be eligible for Gift Aid*, please ensure you follow the correct link when making a donation:
Money can be matched against cash gifts from:
- individuals, couples and families (Gift Aid is not eligible for match);
- charities, not-for-profits, voluntary and faith groups, mutuals and co-operatives.
If you have already established a named fund at the Community Foundation click here to find out how Give2 could enhance your philanthropy.
If you would like to make a significant donation over £16,000 you can establish a named fund that, with match, meets the minimum value of £25,000. The Fund will live on in the name you give it, supporting social action in your area for generations to come. For more information about setting up a named fund click here.
