Regular or one-off donations
Your regular or one-off donation to the Community Foundation is a great way to support causes in our area, because it allows us to effectively target help where it is needed most. By naming the Community Foundation serving Tyne & Wear and Northumberland as the beneficiary of your donation, you provide us with the flexibility to support a wide variety of important causes and to respond to changing needs in the future.
Currently we can match regular or one-off donations to area endowment funds with money from a Government programme called Community First. Click here for more information.
Alternatively, your donation can support our Thriving Communities work, or, if you prefer, one of our other theme or affinity funds. Regular and one-off donors are really important to these funds, so we invite you to be involved in championing the causes that you care about. We will give you the details of the named Fund Development Manager who will be your contact person at the Community Foundation. You will receive an annual report on the theme or affinity fund you have supported. You will also receive our regular e-newsletter, and be invited to our AGM and other events.
We welcome donations that are made in memory of loved ones, which can be made to the Community Foundation itself, or to any of our theme or affinity funds. Alternatively, you can combine donations received into a named fund.
You can…
- Give online now through our justgiving page.
- Set up a standing order or direct debit and specify which theme or affinity fund you would like to benefit. Download the form here. If you are a UK taxpayer, we can claim back 25% on your donation. Simply download and complete our Gift Aid Form and send in with your donation.
All donations to the Community Foundation to establish or grow funds or support our work generally are covered by our Gift Acceptance Policy.
