Carrie Reay Grassroots

The Carrie Reay Grassroots Fund was established in 2009 and to date the fund has made grants to a total of nearly £25,000, supporting projects which improve the health and wellbeing of hundreds of children across Tyne and Wear. Examples of grants from the Fund include support for the purchase of sensory equipment for children with disabilities, and breakfast clubs which have provided meals to children whose families are in poverty.

‘These grants help our children get out and about in the community to live their lives to the fullest, enjoy activities others can take for granted. It really makes a difference to our families.’
