The Edwin John Easydorchik Travelling Scholarship

An annual scholarship will be awarded to a young artist under 25 years old. They do not need to be living in the North East but, must provide evidence that they were born in Northumberland, Tyne & Wear or County Durham.

Emma Newton Fund

Grants are awarded to young people living in in Tyne, Wear and Northumberland, to support their pursuits in the performing arts. Groups can also apply to the fund if they are assisting young people to access performing arts opportunities.

Innogy Renewables UK Middlemoor Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund (Individuals)

The RWE Innogy UK Middlemoor Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund can support individuals living within the Parish of Eglingham with grant requests of up to £1,000 per year, with a view to encouraging and nurturing talent or supporting an individual to take up a life enhancing opportunity. It can also be used to access an apprenticeship, a vocational training course, or a further educational college course.

Robert Wood Trust (Individuals)

To support individuals aged 12 – 18 from Tyne & Wear or Northumberland who have been offered a life enhancing opportunity that will contribute towards improved educational achievements. Grant of up to £500 can be applied for. Please note this does not include bursaries.

Sunderland Industrial & Reformatory School Fund

To support individual women and girls in the Sunderland and South Tyneside area who are facing severe hardship, it will support items such as clothes and provide small grants for furniture, carpets and any other important items required to set up home or support someone in need.

Watson Family

Requests are considered that enable care leavers aged 16 – 25 to move into settled, safe accommodation; enter further or higher education; find satisfying employment; or achieve good health and a positive sense of wellbeing. The grant request should be to meet exceptional or difficult costs that are not the statutory responsibility of the Local Authority.

Young Musicians Fund

Established in 1996 by Kathryn Tickell to develop the musical skills of children and young people in Tyne & Wear, Northumberland and Durham under the age of 18 who are struggling to pay for tuition fees or want help to purchase an instrument.
