Transatlantic CF Network
Community Foundations are an American concept that was brought to the UK in the 1980s. During the last two decades, Community Foundations have spread rapidly around the globe. Community Foundations are one of the fastest growing forms of organised philanthropy. In 1999 the German Bertelsmann Foundation and the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation established and jointly funded the Transatlantic Community Foundation Network (TCFN). The TCFN supports the sharing of skills and knowledge from Community Foundations around the world.
