Sue joined the Community Foundation in September 2007 to work on the Local Network Fund. She co-managed the Government scheme, Grassroots Grants until March 2011 and is now part of the finance and administration team.
Sue’s career began as an Arts Administrator. She worked with various theatre companies before moving to the BBC, where she managed a team dealing with artists’ contracts and copyright, before becoming a consultant on digital rights issues. After leaving London, Sue was the Business Manager for the Local Heritage Initiative, a grant scheme co-funded by the Countryside Agency and Heritage Lottery Fund.
Sue is a student representative for the Centre For Lifelong Learning, runs a book group, and enjoys the North East’s theatres and art galleries.
