Mark is responsible for the Community Foundation’s knowledge management, evaluation and impact assessment work. He also oversees external grant programmes run by the Foundation, policy initiatives we lead and our partnerships with other funders. He joined the team in 2008.
In 1982 Mark became involved in the voluntary and community sector as a volunteer for his local youth and community centre. His subsequent career as a paid worker has included developing, managing and delivering welfare rights provision, innovative services for people with learning disabilities and a range of community development initiatives.
Mark has a PGCE in post compulsory education and training, and has taught community development at the Universities of Wales and Durham.
