Professor Chris Drinkwater CBE
Deputy Chair
Chris is Emeritus Professor of Primary Care Development, Northumbria University, and a retired academic GP. His background is in inner-city general practice in Newcastle and in development of Healthy Living Centres. He is currently President and Public Health lead for the NHS Alliance and a board member of several organisations including HealthWORKS Newcastle. Chris joined the Community Foundation’s Board in 2006 and was elected Deputy Chair in 2009. He chairs the Philanthropy Committee and sits on its Honorary Officers Committee.
