Ashley Winter OBE
Chair
Ashley is currently CEO of the Retail Automotive Alliance Ltd. He has over 30 years’ business experience, including as Chairman and Managing Director of R H Patterson & Co Ltd. He is a former Governor of Northumbria University, past Chairman of Tyne and Wear Learning and Skills Council and LSC North East, and current Vice Chairman of Entrust, Director of Herbert Dove (Trustees) Ltd and The Charlotte Straker Project. Ashley and his wife Gill set up the Winter Family Grassroots Fund at the Community Foundation to support causes in Tynedale, Northumberland. Ashley joined the Community Foundation’s Board in 2008 and was appointed Chair in 2010. He chairs Board meetings and the Honorary Officers Committee and he sits on the Development Committee.
