Surviving Winter

Surviving Winter Campaign 2011 from The Media Company on Vimeo.

With over 33% of homes in the North East considered to be in fuel poverty, the Community Foundation Tyne & Wear and Northumberland is launching a campaign to encourage those who do not need their winter fuel payment and members of the wider public, to donate to the Surviving Winter campaign and help those who are suffering from fuel poverty in our local community.

You can donate in the following ways:

Online: Click here to be directed to our online donation facility.

Phone: Call 0191 222 0945 to make a donation by card.

As the winter progresses we will be working with National Energy Action (NEA) to support people out of fuel poverty using the money we have raised by going directly to our local community and voluntary groups that work with people in fuel poverty every day. The community and voluntary groups will also benefit from a hardship grant that can be distributed to any individual or individuals that use the organisations services.

To find out more about Surviving Winter or if you are a community or voluntary group interested in working with NEA to help alleviate fuel poverty amongst your service users click here.
