NESS presents the Cranfield Trust

The North East Skills Sharing Group, which is convened by the Community Foundation, brings together a range of organisations that help to broker relationships between businesses and charities across the region. One of the partners, the Cranfield Trust offers a consultancy process, and is looking to support more North East organisations whose primary purpose is to address issues of poverty, disability or social exclusion.

To benefit from their support, your charity needs to meet the following criteria:

  • Your primary purpose must be addressing the needs of poverty, disability or social exclusion.
  • You must be a formally constituted non-profit with a board of trustees, such as a registered charity or Community Interest Company (CIC).
  • You need to have sufficient time available to work with our volunteers, who provide mentoring support, rather than taking the work away from you.
  • You must be based in the UK, even if supporting work overseas.
  • Any project undertaken must be agreed by your charity’s trustees and CEO.

The trust recommends that you read more about the consultancy process, and research some examples of projects before getting in touch.  Or see its FAQs.

If you are ready to apply for a consultancy project, please read the guide to getting started.
