Free Wills Month 2017

Roger and Pat recently arranged their Will with a gift to the Community Foundation to support ex-offenders into employment

Free Wills Month is a national campaign offering members of the public aged 55 and over the opportunity to have their simple Wills written or updated free of charge by using participating solicitors in selected locations around England, Scotland and Wales.

An up-to-date Will written by a solicitor ensures your wishes are respected. It also avoids difficult decisions and legal complications for your loved ones. Free Wills Month allows you to provide for family and friends and leave a gift to your chosen charities.

A gift in your Will costs you nothing now but can make a difference for years to come. Roger and Pat recently set up an arrangement to leave a gift in their Will to the Community Foundation. The Cyprus-based couple are leaving a legacy gift which will establish the Job- Finder Fund, which will help ex-offenders become self-supporting and obtain employment.

Roger and Pat said about the legacy:

“We now have an excellent arrangement for supporting our favourite charities and additionally, we have the comfort of knowing that the Community Foundation will ensure an endowment fund will continue to be administered for the benefit of similar charities long into the future.”

Sandra King, Chief Philanthropy Officer at the Community Foundation added:

“Remember a charity in your Will is a very good way to ensure that causes which you are passionate about are cared for even after you are gone. There are many ways to do this, and we would encourage anyone who’s thinking about this to get in touch and see what options are available.”
